Spin-offs of Game of Thrones

The Game of Thrones will end next year, but that does not mean Westeros will disappear from the TV screens all around the world. HBO has just confirmed that the spin-off of this show will be launched. Works have already started on not only one, but four spin offs!

HBO has many different series in its offer, but none can boast of such popularity as Game of Thrones. However, there are only two, shorter seasons left and then this golden goose will be done.

The HBO is already trying to make the Westworld the successor of the Game of Thrones. So far, there is no sign that the story about robots becoming more aware and intelligent has won such a popularity as the bloody tale of political competition in Westeros.

HBO is apparently not ready to say goodbye to the series loved by millions of viewers all around the world.

Rumours about the spin-off series on the motifs of George R.R. “Margina” has been discussed for months, if not for years. Making such a series seems like a sensible move as the plot of the main series is approaching inexorably towards the finale. With all my sympathy for Westworld I do not believe he was able to replace HBO’s GoT.

Given the popularity of the series, no one should be surprised that the world of the series The Games of Thrones will continue to live on the air and the VOD service of the HBO spin-off. It is possible that we will get more than one series. The fictional world of Stark and Lannister can be developed even within four new productions.

Who will be working on the spin-offs of the Game of Thrones series?

Among the people to create the best spin offs and expand the universe of Games of Thrones are being mentioned four writers. It is possible that only one of the projects that they develop will be successful, but they may as well hit all four. Listed are:

  • Max Borenstein – Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island;
  • Jane Goldman – Kingsman: The Golden Circle, X-Men: First Class;
  • Brian Helgeland – L.A. Confidential, Mystic River;
  • Carly Wray – Mad Men, The Bastard Executioner.

David Benioff and Dan Weiss, the creators of the series, will be associated with all the productions. There will also be on board the author of the saga of Ice and Fire – George R.R. Martin, although they will not be responsible for writing scripts. Martin has included in his books many amazing stories that are just waiting to be presented to their television audience. Most of them definitely are worth screening and presenting to the public such as:  Robert Baratheon’s Rebellion, The Targaryen Leaving Valyria, First Invasion of White Walkers.

We already know that in the 7th season, Ed Sheeran will join the cast, and the dragons will reach the Boeing 747s size in the upcoming episodes. Jim Broadbent will also appear on the screen to play Citadel maestro, where Sam is travelling to right now.
